This is one of a number of components you may require for a thorough refurb or general service of the Lower Casing Drive assembly. This area of the engine is subject to extreme wear & tear as well as the obvious problems of corrosion due to a salt-water marine environment that most outboards will be used in. The engineering and quality is high but eventually will require some TLC!
